Important Information

(a) If this registration is in your Personal Capacity, please notify your Consultant Immediately to obtain the correct documents to complete.

(b) Documents need to be clear scanned copies - Photos and blurred or poor-quality scans are not accepted and may cause your application to be rejected at SARS 

(c) Only for new applications - not for people who has already has a customs number in the past and resubmitting or already applied elsewhere.

(d) VAT Registration is not included - read more or order it here. 

(e) In the unlikely event that there is a delay with SARS, we will communicate this to you.

(f) Successful registration will depend on accuracy of documentation from client

(g) You will need a permit with your license if you are Importing any of the below:

• Any live animals

• Any food related items or anything for human consumption

• Anything second-hand

• Anything flammable or contains chemicals

• Anything electrical that gets plugged into a wall

• Tyres and fuel

• Guns, gold, or liquor

• Plants or fertilizers

(e) Please note that once we have submitted your application at SARS for the Import / Export number, we will not be able to cancel or refund your application as this will now be lodged with SARS.

(f) SARS requires a registered representative to be appointed on all entities before the tax types can be accessed. This is related to an update passed by SARS on the 23rd of April.

(g) We will not be able to access or request your tax types if this has not as been updated by yourself or your accountant holding your e-Filing profile. Please ensure this is updated. Our consultants will also be able to assist you to guide you through the process of updating the registered representative.

(ih We are also able to assist you with updating the registered representative at an additional fee if R575. Please contact your consultant for assistance with this service.
